We successfully hosted our first hands-on training workshop in Greenford on October 9th, welcoming a fantastic and focused group of 12 participants.
This event was a perfect demonstration of our mission: proving that fixing things is not just practical—it’s a powerful step toward fighting e-waste and building a stronger community.
From Broken to Brilliant: Greenford’s Day in Review
The energy in the room was electric as the trainees immersed themselves in the skills of the circular economy. This was more than a workshop; it was the first stage in the pathway to real qualification and sustainable employment.
- Hands-On Expertise: Guided by expert repair fixers, the participants quickly moved past theory. They learned how to safely diagnose faults, troubleshoot common electrical problems, and, most importantly, successfully repair small electrical and electronic items that were destined for the bin.
- A Dual Benefit: Every repair made contributed to two goals. First, it gave the trainee a valuable, insight in learning a new skills. Second, it provided a direct environmental benefit by diverting materials from landfill.
The Repair Workshop Gets Top Marks!
We are absolutely thrilled with the feedback from our recent electrical repair workshop. Not only did our participants gain valuable skills, but the experience also sparked real career ambition!
The survey results speak for themselves:
- Nearly 73% of participants rated their overall experience as Excellent.
- In fact, every single respondent rated the experience as either Good or Excellent!
- A massive 75% of attendees stated they would like to continue pursuing a career in electrical fixing.

Upcoming Workshop: Hillingdon on 6th November!
Following the success in Greenford, we are excited to announce that our focus now shifts to the borough of Hillingdon for our next training session on Thursday, 6th November 2025.
This workshop will offer another 12 participants the chance to gain crucial repair skills and work towards a Level 1 certification in repair and PAT testing (Portable Appliance Testing)—a recognised qualification that can lead to meaningful employment.
How to Register
Places are limited to 12 participants per session, and this programme is targeted at individuals who are currently unemployed or not in education or training.
