About the Project

London Digital Works supports Londoners with careers advice and guidance, digital skills development support, to gain digital workplace skills and employment in digital jobs and Good Work in the digital sector.

Through this project, the partnership of ELATT and Action West London will improve the chances of under-represented groups achieving employment with tech industries.

The project runs from July 2022 to September 2023 and is open to residents of any of these London boroughs:

Haringey

Hillingdon

Hounslow

Islington

Kensington and Chelsea

Lambeth

Southwark

Tower Hamlets

Barnet

Brent

Camden

City of London

Ealing

Hackney

Hammersmith and Fulham

Project Activities

Our project provides specialist digital advisors alongside a range of employability support activities such as:

· Mentoring: matching volunteer IT professionals with participants who are job ready

· Work placements

· Job brokerage: providing a funded initial screening service for partner employers

· Support for digital employers seeking to diversify their workforce

Wraparound Support during the project which includes:

– Tailored Information, Advice and Guidance service
– Signposting to specialist agencies and external partners
– Benefits advice
– Better of Calculation
