Community, Health, and Fitness: Celebrating the Success of the Acton Fitness Fun Day Events

What a fantastic turnout for the Acton Fitness Fun Day events! Across two free events this October, Action West London welcomed over 40 community members of all fitness levels and backgrounds through the doors to move, connect, and prioritise their well-being.
The core mission of our Movement on the Mount project has always been simple: getting women in Acton with limited access to exercise active and empowered. Promoting physical and mental health sits right at the heart of Action West London’s roots as a charity, and seeing so many faces come together to support one another was truly inspiring.
To keep the events genuinely locally focused and community-led, all sessions were delivered by self-employed fitness professionals from our local area. Working alongside local instructors allowed us to keep the energy grounded in the community while supporting self-employed talent right here in West London.

Throughout the events, participants were able to try a range of sessions designed for every fitness level, including:
Yoga
Walk Fit
Legs, Bums & Tums
MetaFit HIIT
Relax & Stretch
These events could not have happened without the support of our brilliant partners. A huge thank you to our fitness delivery partner, The Original Ealing Fit Club, for bringing local self-employed fitness professionals together; our funders at Sport England for making these sessions free and accessible; and our host venue, Oak Tree Church Acton, for opening their doors to support community health and well-being.
