At Action West London (AWL), we believe everyone deserves the chance to start a great career. That’s why we are proud to partner with the West London Waste Authority to host our first-ever Women-Only Small Electrical Fixing Careers Workshop.

Whilst we have women attend our previous events, we want to give local women a safe, supportive space to gain practical skills and explore a rewarding new career path in sustainability and repair.
What’s in it for you?
This is more than just a repair session. It’s a chance to learn a valuable trade, help the planet by reducing waste, and boost your CV.
In this FREE half-day, in-person workshop, you will:
- Learn from the Pros: Watch expert fixers from organisations like the Restart Project at work.
- Get Hands-On: Under expert guidance, you’ll learn to troubleshoot common problems and bring old tech back to life.
- Earn a Qualification: Following the training, you’ll have the opportunity to complete a Level 1 certification in Repair and PAT testing. This is a recognised qualification that can open doors to new employment opportunities.
Location & Date

Our women’s only session will run on 23 April in Acton.

We are looking for around 12 participants per session. This project is specifically designed to support those who need it most. To be eligible, you should be:
