On Tuesday 20th May, three of our dedicated team members had the distinct honour of attending the prestigious Buckingham Palace Garden Party. It was a day of immense pride and a wonderful recognition of the impactful work AWL undertakes within the community, particularly our sustainability initiatives.

Our CEO, Gary Buckley , was joined by our esteemed Chair of Trustees, Tony Coyne, and Contracts and Partnership Manager, Craig Winters. The invitation to this esteemed event was a direct acknowledgement of Action West London’s “terrific community-inspired sustainability projects,” a testament to our ongoing mission to change lives through employment, education, and enterprise.

The atmosphere at Buckingham Palace was nothing short of magnificent, with the sun (thankfully!) gracing the occasion, allowing guests to fully enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It was an inspiring experience to be among so many individuals and organisations recognised for their contributions to society.

For Action West London, this invitation signifies the growing importance of our environmental and community-focused efforts. Our sustainability projects are not just about green initiatives; they are intrinsically linked to creating opportunities for West Londoners, fostering new skills, promoting local enterprise, and ultimately building a more resilient and thriving community. From upcycling workshops to community clean-up drives, and supporting eco-friendly local businesses, we are committed to making a tangible difference.

Gary, Tony, Craig, and the entire AWL team extend their deepest gratitude for this incredible recognition. Attending the Garden Party was a truly memorable experience that further galvanises our commitment to empowering individuals and transforming West London, one sustainable step at a time. This honour strengthens our resolve to continue innovating and expanding our programmes, ensuring that we can touch even more lives in the years to come.

We look forward to building on this momentum and continuing our vital work with the unwavering support of our community.
