On Tuesday 18th July, we held an open day on the Mount, in Acton, to showcase our work and partnerships.
We were joined by the Metpolice , Ealing Councils, Work Ealing , our very own Reduce and Recycle hub and some of our regular street market traders. Many locals where suprised but delighted to see activity on the Mount on a day we are not usually trading as a Market.
Met Police Recruitment Project
Our Met police recuitment project had lots of interest from passersby all interested to find out how they can join the Met. There are several pathways to joining and our colleague Kurshed along with Grace from the Met where on hand to help people understand the recruitment opportunities.

Reduce and Recycle Hub
Market favourite , the Reduce and Recycle Hub, also joined the open day, offering people the chance to recycle clothes and small electrical items with TRAID .
Ealing Repair Cafe volunteers where also back teaching locals how to mend and fix clothes.

Hub favorites the Churchfield Community Association where back with their very popular book swap! and the hub was also joined by Hammersmith Library of Things which is a small eletricals borrowing service
As the hub runs on the first Saturday of each month it was great for them to meet with users of the Mount who are not normally there on Saturdays. The next opportunity to meet the Reduce and Recycle hub in Acton, will be on Saturday 29th July at North Acton Pavilion, between 1pm and 4pm.
Ealing Council Green Skills Training
Rachel and the team from Ealing Council where on site all day to talk to young people about their Green Skills boot camp. The free Green Skills Bootcamp teaches 18-30 years olds the fundamentals of land management and arboriculture.
