Action West London (AWL) is a partner in G4S’ West London Troubled Families contract. As part of its role, AWL provides end-to-end holistic support for unemployed people, as well as working with training providers and community networks to offer a range of development opportunities.

Supporting customers is a team effort and although each participant has a dedicated advisor, clients also work with other staff members, attend job clubs and meet regularly with the employer engagement officer. Each client can be on the programme for up to 65 weeks.

Their proactive response, job starts and subsequent outcome performance was a significant factor in the contract being extended in 2019 for a further two years.

External support services include ESOL classes, the Construction Skills Certification Scheme and Security Industry Authority training.

Caroline Malone, Supply Chain Manager, G4S, said: “AWL has excelled across all delivery areas on our DWP ESF West London Troubled Families contract. They are dependable throughout customers’ challenges and are a constant in a world where there are not many constants.”
