Bridging the Gap West London project will support 25 participants who are unemployed
and economically inactive from ethnic minority communities. The project will undertake first contact engagement activities to reach participants not normally in contact with official organisations to help individuals secure employment or training
Eligibility
Unemployed or Economically Inactive, you can be in receipt of benefits but this is not a requirement and your benefits will not be effected by participating in the programme. You also need to be resident in West London Boroughs, boroughs include:
Brent
Ealing
Hammersmith & Fulham
Hounslow
Hillingdon
Harrow
What Bridging the Gap Offers
TRAINING AND EMPLOYABILITY: We will deliver IAG, training, employability skills and employment support at outreach venues- as well as our own premises.
JOB BROKERAGE: We will engage with employers to secure job opportunities and will provide ‘in work’ support to participants.
DIGITAL SKILLS: We will offer training in social use of digital skills (Facebook, computers, e mails, Whats App etc which can also increase digital employability skills.
ACTION PLANS: Each participant will identify their needs with a project worker. They can attend weekly ‘job clubs’. The project worker will contact participants weekly and empower them to implement a personalised, flexible Action Plan addressing their barriers to employment or training.
